Clutch problem

I replaced the clutch and throw out bearing in my 1954 M37 after I could no longer adjust it out. The clutch disc did not look that worn when I took it out. After I put it back together I still had the same problem, so I whittled off a little of the tab on the clutch pedal and that worked for a few months, now I am back in the same problem. Any ideas? There did not seem to be any significant wear on any of the other parts. It seems that if I lengthened the length of the linkage it might fully release the clutch!

If all your components involved are the correct items, you have something going on that you have not found yet. M37 trucks generally have plenty of adjustment in both directions. The first thing I would check is for something linkage related, sheared keys, etc that may be slipping on the shaft or other issues that may be causing considerable loose motion in the works. If someone has cut the flywheel an excessive amount, that could also cause a releasing issue.

I popped a few keys on mine when I had the 230 in it, I started carrying a few spares in my glovebox and a little wrench to take the linkage apart for just such an occasion.
