Cab mounting

Post by SydneyM37 »

I am in the process of getting new bolts to bolt the cab down on to the chassis.
The cab is currently sitting on the rubber mounts, but can anyone shed any light as to why the springs are in the deal with the bolts ?

My only reconing would be if the cab is hung up on a rock, that there is some give in the system.

The springs allow a little flexibility between the cab and the frame. That way, the cab will "give" a little when the frame flexes. Without them, your cab would soon warp or (worse) a bolt could pull through the sheet metal.
