Photo's (linked) of a decade long project!

Post by SierraM37 »

Finally dropped the donor 230 into my frame off this weekend. The motor case is stamped with a 55 build date. Just have to fab right front and left rear mounts which we cut out when the previous owner dropped a 318 into it. My fellow Jeeper buddies call it the Trail Pig.

Gender?

Post by SierraM37 »

Jeez Bruce, I hadn't even considered the whole gender thing.

My Jeeper friends are very good people, but they are Jeep-aholics. I live very close to the Rubicon and Fordyce trails out here in Northern California and while the "Trail Pig" may make it, I don't know if I want to try my frame off on them at this point. I've been on both trails and they are well suited for short wheel base rigs. The M may be a tad too long and get hung up. I may turn my donor M37 into a trail rig - Bob it and put some D60's underneath. Time and money.
