Factory color of wheel drums

What was the factory delivery color of the brake drums?

That would depend on branch of service. The wheels were painted whatever body color the purchasing branch of service required. AF wheels would be blue, Navy wheels either gray or OD (Seabees got OD), Marines got another shade of OD. I think Coast Guard wheels were also gray, but I can't be sure on that.

The brake drums were probably chassis black originally and suffered over spray from finish painting.
