Ordered a Soft Top today for the M
Somewhere in the process of moving I misplaced the original top to the M, no great loss as it was dry rotted, but it could have probbaly gotten my by for another year. So in order to keep the (future) heat in from the heater I'm installing I figured I needed a top.
So I ordered one from Surplus City Jeep Parts (http://www.surplusjeep.com/Special/spec ... er_Special). They currently have a Winter Canvas Special on the M37 at $336.95. Wish me luck!

The only thing that I am sceptical of ordering from a retailer is that, you do not know who makes their canvas. It is too easy to order from New Life - Beechwood direct from the manufacturer, and know exactly what you are getting. Also if there is a problem, you go directly back to the source.
That reminds me, I need to call New Life on a top I ordered, a LONG time ago.

My canvas material comes mostly from New Life. My tops however come from one of the original Gov't contractors. I stand behind what I sell so coming back to me with an issue is not a problem. One thing that I have over Beachwood or another mfg'r is that I stock the material and you don't have to wait for it.

We'll will have to slap John on the back for this one,
that is one lost idea, that the manufacturers are soooo backed up, that at least the retailer put in his order and has them sitting on the shelf.
I wish John had rare weasel parts, I am working on 2 - T-15's.

Heater Craft, Model 400H. Max. Est. BTU/h: 40,000. From: Big Guns Marine Parts Superstore http://stores.ebay.com/Big-Guns-Marine-Parts-Superstore
I'm mounting it under the Drivers Seat so blow towards my feet and then back up over me. I'll also install a couple of hoses and make some removable defrost vents. 40K may be an overkill, but based on the openness of the cab, and the length of heater hoses I'm sure It won't be too much of an over kill.

Top observation
Your new top must be a custom. The M37 cab top never used snaps to install it over the windows. Are you sure you got what you paid for?

Thanks. When ever I have to or need to, or eant to run in the cold winter days, I intend to keep as warm as I can, not sure about the passenger though, Ha Ha.
John
The "snap" are what holds those plate in place that slip into the slots on the door frame rails. (these are pictures of the top, not on my truck)

I guess I'll find out how it looks/fits when I install it.

Snaps.
My top does not have those snaps. Maybe its a preference of the particular manufacturer?
Now That Is Different!
Surplus City, huh? I'm guessing that it allows a little give either way?W_A_Watson_II wrote:Dicktater
