glass insulating strips... You know the stuff... the thin rubber strips that encase/insulate the actual glass from the frame. Where do I find this stuff,or find a substitute?

Any auto glass shop can hook you up. Very little actual rubber stuff these days, though. Most of it is either neoprene (plastic) or composition.

Impregnated cork as I recall from my windshield work?
Lifer is right, any glass shop will have what your needing.
