Truck got baptized yesterday.

Post by Nickathome »

Took the truck for a quick ride to pick up my son from school yesterday. We got on the road just as a pretty nice early season mini snow squall blew through. So we got to drive in some pretty cool weather. No accumulation but it was real neat to drive through anyway. The kids had a blast even though it was quite a cold ride. Not unbearable but cold(although not as cold as the guy on the motorcycle we saw driving through the same storm). One thing I learned is that I definitely need to install some sort of heater. One, to make it more comfortable, and two, for defrosting capability. The windshield iced up pretty quickly without any defrosters. My wiper are not hooked up(have fuel pump without vacuum line), so I had to use the driver's side in manual mode but it worked fine, albeit a little annoying. So the wipers are the next order of business after heat. All in all we had a blast yesterday and I can't wait for some real snow to drive in.
