Left front fender XM708

Post by JimC »

here are 5 flush rivets in the top of the fender. Four in a rectangle and one centered in front.

They don't attach anything, and I suspect they are just cosmetic hole fillers. My question is, what originally mounted there?

Looks like there was a heater installed at one time. If you look at the engine side cowling(?) you can see plugs for two water hoses.

Those are for the optional fender mounted cab heater. My M37 has one but it doesn't get used as the truck is stored during the cold months.
