armored m37s
Ok Ive seen several pictures now of armored m37s were these factory built? Was it a kit to bolt on? Or was it field conversions?
My wife loves to cook, bakes fresh cookies for my lunch every week, and now she wants a 15" Mortar.... life is good!
Hi Poor Rich
check out the paint question on this page I was talking about colors of trucks in Vietnam. But there are m37 guntruck pictures that are posted there. They were made by the guys that used the trucks. The guntrucks in Vietnam were all made by the crews that includes 2 1/2 and 5 tons. MSN hosts a guntruck discussion group that has lots of info and pics and guys that served on the trucks.

I am SOooOOooOOO tempted...
..to build Old Blue into a repop of a VN Guntruck.
Would be neat to fab up out of lighter weight steels the armor and coverings, build the gun mounts and equip.
Know that a half finished frame that I've been too *ikk* most of summer to fool with is a LONG way away from that kind of workup, but...
I would enjoy building such a rolling replica.
