I've only seen a few, but every one I've seen was made in the field (including mine).
1951 M37 "Brutus" w/Winch and 251 engine

None of my manuals list a hood handle so it must be a field modification.

The one on my 37 looks factory, but may have been just very well done. It was on the truck when I got it in 1962. My 708 and two parts trucks don't have one.

His handle is similar but not identical to the one on my 37.
For the sake of consistency between the two, I think I'll just duplicate my 37.

Since these were generally improvised field modifications, it's not surprising that they don't look exactly the same
