New hesitation problem....

Post by BugsandJeeps »

Hi All,
Started the truck today and when puling the throttle out I felt something weird (like it hit something). Pushed it back in and out again and no issue. Started as per normal but the truck sounded really rough (like an exhaust leak). Idled fine and let it warm up. Driving it to go get an inspection so I can finally register this and had no power on acceleration. Managed to get it to the garage but not sure what to check for this issue. Any ideas?

Check float level
Check choke operation
Check governor operation
Check compression

Hi All,
Just to close the loop on this post. The truck ran really poorly and would not accelerate without stumbling. Turns out the accelerator pump was toast and I replaced it with a new one. Problem solved.
