Oil Filter 1954 M37 Canadian

Post by Thundrrr74 »

Hello gents...
I am having a heck of a time locating an oil filter for my rig.
My M37 is a Canadian with the 251.
Am I correct in understanding that the only location to get the correct filter is through Vintage? This not a problem, however I find it difficult to believe that there are no cross overs available anywhere.
What are you using to replace the NOS oil filter?
I have run Out of new old stock.
Thanks in advance.

Doesn't the 251 engine in the Canadian M37 use the same filter as the 230 engine in the US truck?

I've been using the Wix 51100 filter on my 251 engine. You can find them on Amazon.

I’ve used the Napa gold 1100 as well. When I asked for the Wix 51100, they cross referenced it to that. Both seem like well-made filters.
