Does anyone know the stickout length of the the Acme t98 in put shaft? Curious,as I can't find much info on the 1-3/8" input.
Looking for the length from the trans case mounting surface to the tip of the input...the inner diameter of the throwout bearing would be cool to know as well.

I do not, but I'll bet Vintage Power Wagons can help you with that. Pull up their website and shoot 'em an email. Jens (pronounced YENS) and crew are great to work with.

Re: T98 input shaft
Kind of a bummer that Matt Welcher is no longer with them. I only spoke with him directly a few times, but he is an extremely knowledgeable and helpful guy.

I never knew Matt; Steve Arndt is another great VPW guy-met him in Topeka at the last MVPA National hosted there.

I have one on the floor of the shop right now, I’ll get you an answer in a day or so

Re: T98 input shaft
much appreciated...definitley a bit odd. like a combination of the HD-t98 ford input,with a jeep t98 input.
amazingly close to the HD 1-3/8" input thats available for the nv4500 though...
if you recall, was the pilot snout extra long, like the jeep inputs? just some ideas turning in my head...i get this way in winter, when i'm not working. too much time on my hands. lol.
my M43 is currently down. i'm finding all the things that need help, after years of sitting, and not getting fixed...like the sloppy shifter, and looks like i have a bad fuel pump, that leaking fuel into the oil. also have the front brakes apart, for new lines and cylinders, which were balls of corrosion. the master is leaking a bit, and i have a leak somewhere underneath. i have all the Brake Bits, but need a rebuild kit for the pump, and a possible re-core for the rad... its currently a frozen hell right now, so waiting for spring. i drained the coolant as a precaution...also needing a bearing re-pack, when it warms up a bit.
