I am seeking some guidance on how the horn button rebuild kit goes together. I have 2 issues that I am trying to resolve. The spring that is held in place with a snap ring does not show a solid side on any drawings that I have seen. I am trying to determine if the solid side goes towards the plastic button or towards the snap ring?
my second issue is the isolator grommet. If I install it on the wire before the steel and rubber washer it makes the contact lead sit excessively high. If I install it after it brings the contact lead lower but it would let the two washers fall down the shaft. Could someone let me know the correct order? Any guidance is appreciated.

Re: horn button rebuild
Only the isolator goes up top, the other washers are for the other end. Here is how mine is, horn works as it should.

Thanks for the pics; that explanation helps a ton. They must have eliminated 'X' from the assembly; I kept confusing the washer for it.

Re: horn button rebuild
and your other question...which spring are you talking about, C or F?

Re: horn button rebuild
It is spring "C". It has a plate on one end that isn't shown in the schematic. I can make up reasons for it to go either way. Any guidance is appreciated.

Re: horn button rebuild
Thanks for the pic. I was thinking that was the correct way but I have messed everything else up so bad what are the chances I was guessing right.
