lower door to cab weatherstrip question

I am ready to install the lower door weatherstrip to the cab. My question is-- does the rubber weatherstrip sit above the retainer or below it? I have seen pics in the various manuals with both configurations used. I think mine was installed up, but the door has a spot in it that looks like it should fit with the weatherstrip down. A pic of one of your trucks or just let me know which way it should go.

When I removed the remnants of mine, the thicker part was up top, and the rubber was sandwiched between the retainer and the lower frame. I have no reason to believe Bubba ever messed with them so that's how I plan to install my new ones.
