What would you treat your new canvas top with?
I have a new canvas top and would like it to last a long time and resist the weather well. Is there a good treatment to use on it that works well?

Mine is 12 years old and has never been treated. 2 of those years were outside 24/7.

It depends on the vendor you got your top from. I know David treats his with Canvak. I don't put anything on tops I get from him. Eventually the Canvak wears down so you could apply extra later.

Have one made out of OD green Herculite, sewn with Kevlar thread and it will outlast your truck.
I've had several made by the usual subjects. Not cheap, but you only buy it once.

Does this stuff look like canvas? Their website states a 5 year guarantee, hope my truck lasts longer than that.PoW wrote:Have one made out of OD green Herculite, sewn with Kevlar thread and it will outlast your truck.
