I had to take some time out to work around the place on things. One thing was the yearly cutting back of the grape vines. This requires hand shears and redressing the vines. While I was doing that our youngest cat was having a time walking around on the wooden cross pieces. He did this like he has done it 100 times!
Now back to the cowl work. I made my first weld. In the foreground is where I had to fix a place I messed up.
Then the fun job of grinding down the bead from the first weld.
From the first grind I can see places that need another hit with the welder. Now the second weld done.
A little more grinding and then smoothing with the 120-grit flap disk and the metal work is done. The rest is body work.
