Each unit holds a little over 3 quarts.

My rear Diff is only taking about 2 quarts any tricks to getting it full?

About 1/2 pint of oil can't be drained from the plug because it isn't centered in the bottom of the housing. however it should still take more than 2 quarts to refill. Evidently you didn't get a complete drain.
