MARS still in business?

Post by k8icu »

Does anyone know if MARS is still in business? I tried contacting them a month ago and the e-mail got kicked back. I called and left a message with no reply and now their website is gone. I'm just wondering.

Judging by your user name, I presume you're referring to the Military Affiliate Radio Service? If so, I would imagine that it's still "in business." Even in this age of satellite links, computer networks, and e-mail, there's still a need for HF radio operators...especially in times of emergency when commercial power is disrupted or areas where it's non-existent in the first place. Keep your receiver warmed up, my friend! :)

MARS- military restoration is still in business at:

812.988.2330

They've had trouble with their computers.

Oh. Last I knew, the planet was still in business, too. It hasn't been "Pluto-ized" yet, anyway. ;)
