Pressure Sprayer blast attachment

Post by investig8 »

Good Afternoon All,
Does anyone have experience using the sand blasting attachment for pressure sprayers? It seems to be a nice alternative to conventional sand blasting as it apparently reduces dust and won't warp the panels. However, I don't want to invest the money if they're a waste of time.
Thanks for your expertise!

Hi Dennis,
I have one and it does not work very well. I have used very abrasive sand and with the layers of paint it didn't take the paint off very fast. It would only cut about 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide removal of paint and you had to go really slow. It would take about 5gal bucket to take off a square foot of paint then would start to rust very soon after. I hope some one else had better luck than me. If I have to do it over again I would save my money and send my project out to some one with the proper equipment and save myself a lot of problems.

I hope this helps, Pat
