I was pushing snow up a hill in the dark the other morning and suddenly the truck just stopped running and went dark. Total electrical failure. Lights out, no fuel pump, no starter, no gauges, nothing. I opened the battery box to check connections ( I recently replaced a battery) and didn't see anything wrong, but just as suddenly the electrical system came back on. Has anyone else seen this? Is there a main breaker somewhere that could be getting ready to fail?
Thanks

Re: sudden electrical failure
Loose post internally ? Loose post connection ? Possible plate connector problem? Breakers are behind the dash.
Re: sudden electrical failure
Loose or corroded ground wire?
This happened to me years ago (but never came back on): the negative cable fell out of the battery post clamp.

Re: sudden electrical failure
There is no 'main breaker', just those for lighting, ignition circuit, horn, and accessories (rare). Later trucks had the lighting breaker internal to the light switch.
