Good morning Gentlemen. First post on this forum. I have a 1954 M37 I am assembling. I intend to add a M3H Braden winch in the bed just behind the cab. I have a Power Wagon transmission with a front and rear output PTO. I also have the M37 transmission with a front PTO.
Does anyone have experience putting a winch in the bed of an M37? If so given what I have above, what direction would you recommend? Can I change the M PTO to be a front and rear output? Should I mount the Powerwagon tranny?
Thank you in advance.
Mike

Hi Mike, welcome to the G741!
I'm not aware of anyone making the modifications you propose. I think some of the PTOs had dual capability front and rear but again I am not sure.
Perhaps some of the forum crew will weigh in.
Thanks for being with us!

You can reverse the pto or mount two of them, one on each side. That makes lash setting tricky to do.
"It may be ugly, but at least it is slow!"
