Here is a pic of my data plate. Notice that the TRUCK,CARGO and M37 are larger than the other plates shown.

Are the rivets solid or tubular?

Re: data plates on m37
Hello Everyone on this discussion,
I have a question on M37 data plates, my M37 looks like a Marine version, with paper clips on front bumper and a different rear bumper. But not sure if it is for sure a Marine M37? My glove box data plate reads WOW Ord stock number G2741-8358322 MFR ser no 80262719 Date Del 4-26-54 Model no T-245 Contract no 12939. No where on this plate mention Marine Corps, just ORD CORPS? And a small plate on the firewall passenger side that only has 91020 38625, the first five numbers are larger than the last five numbers? Also does WOW mean without winch, but this M37 has a winch (possibly installed after manufacture)? Any info on this would be helpful in determining if Marine or not, and winch code?
Thanks,

Hey Vietvet7232,
Welcome aboard, have you registered your rig on the G-741/M37 Register yet?
Does your serial # match the # on the frame?

Sorry for the late response Vietvet!
WOW indeed stands for "Without Winch". Also correct-your paper clip front bumper is USMC. The firewall plate is the cab plate-doesn't correspond with the VIN or Corps designation. The Braden LU_4 Winches are a popular add-on-many of us here including myself have added one. Roughly 1/3 of all M37's had winches.
Perhaps some others will weigh ion on your other questions.

Re: data plates on m37
I've had several USMC M37's, and the data plate never showed a Marine Corps reference, just "Ord Corps".
The green paint was USMC, and the lettering was all in yellow and sparse compared to USA trucks.
