So I finally sprung for the passenger side mirror mount and arm from John at Midwest Military. This, in direct response to blowing carbon on Veronica's Rubicon every time I fired up the 230. It arrived Tuesday and I prepped and mounted it on Wednesday. Of course, a 10 minute install turned into an hour, as the lower mounting bolt broke off when I tried to remove it. Drilling the remnants then using an easy-out did nothing so I went to the MAPP gas torch as a last resort. Heating then using the easy out did nothing to resolve the matter either; however, the captive nut broke loose and fell into the cab while I torqued the easy-out, saving me further pain and suffering. I made a wise decision buying up a set of 8-point sockets last year because one fit the end of the easy-out, allowing me to use a ratchet and extension instead of an adjustable wrench.
Once finished and adjusted I am now able to back into my garage, thus moving the exhaust pipe to the opposite side and keeping the Rubicon out of the exhaust flow. This will also give me the passenger-side view when driving instead of Veronica hanging her head out the window to ensure I wasn't going to merge into some unseen beer can that I probably would not have noticed had I hit one.
Maybe now I can get on the air horn project....

Re: Finally, two mirrors....
Gary,
Nothing is ever easy is it, but at least you got it done.

Note: I didn't ask for pictures because it was only a mirror.

Indeed I snapped some pictures (always with you in mind, Bert)!
Once I clear some laptop space I'll post 'em.
