Crankcase venting - carb side

Post by knattrass »

M2 - here's the carb side of the set-up that shows the other fording valve and bracket. The vent tube running across the block is the same size flared tube you need for the lower connection in your photo. If you don't have the fording kit, then there is simply a brass nipple (2" I think) that takes the place of the valve.

Keith,
if I understand correctly, that 3/8" steel tube should have a double flare on the end and the block would have the corresponding fitting. My tube had the flare cut off and that quick-disconnect fitting installed instead with the short length of hose between them. I should be able to replace both without much issue now that I understand how it was meant to connect. Thanks.

It is just that simple, flared fittings on both ends bent around a lamp post! Do you still need a photo? Good luck - Keith
