New owner. Jan 1963 DOD. I have figured out the left bumper unit markings. 49th Armored Division 2nd Battalion 131 Field Artillery. The right bumper C 31. Not sure what this means. Chemical?

Welcome aboard Mark-glad to have you with us! C-31 would be Charlie Battery (as opposed to Company since it's a Field Artillery unit), vehicle number 31. Thanks for saving another one! Great looking truck. It has a lot of desirable stuff already - hard top cab, good looking tailgate- with pioneer rack. What part of Texas are you located? I am in the eastern DFW area. Good to have you here.

A nice unmolested truck. Have to be on the lookout for a few missing parts. I am the west side of the metroplex. Between Decatur and Jacksboro.

Gary- Thanks for the information. Have narrowed to three armories that the truck may have called home. All within 50 miles of me. Going try to find the history of the local armories.

I bought mine at Ft Wolters (Mineral Wells) years ago.
