Hey Crew.
After fumbling around in the dark when we loaded the "M" on her trailer at the race track,
I decided we needed a new set of rear tie-down points on Lori's Dodge.
Don't ask me why but for some reason I've never wanted to use the stock rear shackles?
I guess they just look a bit fragile to me. I know they aren't but anyway, we got new ones.
Rather then reaching up and hooking the chain over the top of the frame rail a new "snap-hook" will
be attached to the ratchet straps, and as they say, away we go!! K.I.S.S. (keep it simple silly)

quality work. I envy owners who have the skill and equipment to fabricate repair and upgrade components to their trucks. And have the trucks and trailers to haul their M 37's around. I'm just lucky to live in SC where I can work on my truck year around, and have at least the space to do so. Back from NE last pm, and plan on hanging the clutch and bellhousing and then the transmission on my engine, then it should be ready for installation. I'll have to have my son and a neighbor help me with that. We will be extremely careful, want to be sure we finish with the same number of fingers we started with.

Re: Heavy-Duty Rear Tiedowns.
Thank You "NV".
What a nice compliment. I love working on the old truck. Not the best mechanic
by far and often need a little help but always try to do quality work. I also like working with iron.
As much as I'm trying to keep the "M" all original I want a simple job of loading and rigging.
Work smart not hard!

Re: Heavy-Duty Rear Tiedowns.
Nice work there Tim! I shackled mine using the front/rear and trailered it from CA to UT with no issues. A month or so ago I also drug a 4000 pound forklift out of the way of my RV storage using the M37 and it's rear shackles with no issues, so they are plenty strong.
Yeah, I have pictures of that-will try to find a way to post them!
