Prices for the M101 seem very high . . .

The best trailer I ever saw for sale at GL - had new tires, new tarp, and a NEW BED/Tailgate - went for $580.

Usually the PA GL trailers sell for $200-280 and get listed by the local PA MV dealers for a multiple of that. The Mechanicsburg stuff sells for more than Letterkenny.

But, if you really really need a M101a1 and want to pay over $750, I got a trailer for you. [I will use the $ to buy a couple more next time from GL:)]

Also, the M101a1 should be comming up at reasonable prices at GL auctions as they are replaced by a lighter trailer that does not break the Humvee's frame and with the slow economy, MV dealers probably are not grabbing as many.

Drew - you are right, it seemed that m101 going thru both PA GSA were high in number, lot of them! For me in Detroit, too far, too much. We finally had a few come thru the MI location - 2 train wrecks and one decent one. We'll keep an eye on them for noW!

I recently picked up one from GL and was very satisfied with the condition and price even though on the high side ,it was within driving distance .

I just picked up a M101a1 through GL for $160 but I fear it is a pretty rough rust bucket. It did have all the side racks, bows and possibly a rotted canvas too. I picked it up at a remote location, they tend to go for cheaper at those kind of places. Once I pass through the hoops and loops and pick it up I will share my findings and hopefully photos with the forum.

It should have a vinyl tarp. They hold up extremely well. Mine looked much worse in the photo than in person as it was covered in dust/grime.

What goes o the tarps is the cotton stitching. Go to Harbor Frieght Tools and buy their awl/thread kit (w/ HD polyester thread) for under $4 and re-do the stitching (forget trying to use the wife's puny sewing needles).
