The V6 sounds like a peppy lil' drive train, remember the faster you go the harder the stock brakes will need to work. Your jeep with that Warbird sure looks nice!

Thanks Bruce! I've found on these old jeeps that maintenance is the key. The 9 inch drums on these aren't self adjusting, so you have to stay on top of the adjustments. With good drums, pads, and hardware I can lock the brakes if I need to. That said, I always drive it like I'm towing a trailer and give myself plenty of room.
Of course, things can always go south in a hurry. I'm considering a four-wheel disk setup that only requires a flat-stock adapter plate to install mid-90s Geo Tracker parts.

I have a pair of disks for the front, just not installed yet, a very good "field modification"!
