Dana, Dana, Dana! Everybody always asks about Dana axles. Haven't they ever heard of other makers of driveline components - such as Rockwell, Spicer, Muncie, or Borg & Beck, to name a few? A casual reader or someone just getting into the hobby would think that Dana is the only company who makes axles. Some, I'm sure will argue that they make the best axles, but that is a matter of personal preference just like everything else.

From all indications these axles were built by Dodge & were not outsourced. Someone may have other valid info on the subject, but this is what has always been conveyed to me. I've never officially researched it.

Oh Lifer..... you mean to tell me that we did not ship our scrap metal over to China back then, to melt it down and make axles, to ship them back to the U.S., so Dodge could assemble a M37, to ship over to Korea, to carry weapons, in order to wage war against China (oops, I mean the North Koreans?).
