It Runs!

Post by Yooper52 »

I know it has been a while since I've posted anything on here about my truck, but have had some time to do some stuff to over the past few weeks.

So I got the carburetor rebuilt a couple of weeks go with my in between time with school and going back to work. Then had some time today with my three day weekend for work and once I got a few other things done that needed to be done I decided to try and get old girl running. Everything was still freed up so I got the points shined up, put a couple batteries in checked for spark off the points, hooked up the jumper cable from our M1031, my dad came over and we took the air cleaner off, brought a spray bottle with gas in it, and we gave it a go. Took a few tries but it started to fire a little bit. Then off it went for a short little bit. Got it to idle a couple times :D . Just need to get some sort of fuel tank hooked a run line to the pump. It should run really good. Hopefully more progress to come over the summer before school starts again.

What fun! It's always such a rush when an old engine first fires up.
