California Power Wagon Rally, Has anyone attended?

I was wondering if anyone on the site has attended this event:

It looks like good fun and I'm thinking about going. Have any of the crew gone? Is anyone planning on going?

I attended the 2005 event in my brand new 2005 Power Wagon. It was worth the trip from Texas. Got to try out the electric lockers in the log pile. They were superb. A quality event.

As a biker, I also tuned into Hollister's history.

On the way home I ran into Erik Estrada in Mohave. (Photo Op)

Glad to hear it was a good event, it sure looks like fun on the website! Registration is open so I think I'm going to send in my stuff this weekend. What kind of driving "events" do they do? We're driving ~150mi to get there, so I don't want to break the truck, but it sure would be fun to play off-road for the first time.

It is an outstanding event, I have attended a couple of them and always had a great time. It is generally a fun group and the site has hot showers and good camping spots. You'll meet a lot of like minded individuals and a few who are, well unique.
You'll find some excellent trails to fit all skill levels and there is a mud pit to play in as well.
The organizers usually post an announcement on Joe C's PW forum.
I hope you check it out, It is definitely worth the effort.
