G'day Everyone,

My Name is Matt Baker and I am the bloke From Downunder who has recently Purchased Tony- Monkey Man's M37.

I need to get a Guesstimate Weight for the truck for transport purposes bearing in mind that it Has MM's spare V8 Engine etc.

A bit about me Recently Separated and lost my second WW2 Willy's Jeep in the Settlement.

I have had an Involvement with Military Vehicles since my Teenage Years, Starting with a WW2 Jeep, then into Canadian Military Pattern Trucks/Blitzes, Australian Pattern Brengun Carrier and then into a couple of Half Ton Dodge WC21 Projects, I recently did a Sale/swap for a 1943 Ex RAAF Cab 13 CMP Fire Tender utilising all of my Half Ton Dodge Projects, Now I am no woodworker I absolutely Hate the Stuff

After a Recent Conversation with Wayne Milburn who Purchased Tony's Uncles M37 He stated that he new of another M37 for sale and he had recently looked over MM's Truck and taken it for a drive while on a short Holiday in Tasmania, after seeing some Photo's I was keen to Purchase the M37 which I have inturn done. Now the Logistics of getting it from the Apple Isle/Tasmania into South East Queensland Ahh the fun times ahead,,,,,,,,

Welcome to g741.org, and congratulations on your M37 purchase. 8)

If I remember correctly, MM's truck has some custom bodywork on the back, so the factory weights won't be accurate. Perhaps there's a truck scale around Launceston that it could be weighed on?

Hi Elwood,

Thanks for the Welcome I think that MM's rear Camper addition is made mostly from Alloy so the weight shouldn't be that bad, I have contacted MM and he is getting it Weighed Shortly.

I will be Looking into a 4BT Diesel Conversion at some time in the Future as I have a Motor at home.

Thanks again for the Welcome.

Cheers Matt

Hi Bert,

Thanks for the Welcome I am hoping to get the old girl home by Late August early September, and I don't intend on doing a great deal to the truck at this stage as I just want a MV to enjoy with my Club.

Cheers Matt
