Another "nice Jeep" reference...

As some of you know I'm preparing to tear down my truck and have the frame blasted and painted soon. Since I still had a half-tank of fuel to go with a 60 degree day on Saturday, we ran errands, logging around 33 miles on the truck. I got some waves and thumbs-up as we made our way around town and a few folks stopped to chat whenever we stopped. One guy had to use the Jeep reference as he pulled away in his car so I couldn't respond within earshot. Felt good to get on the road, and I hit the spray and wash to blast off the road grime and salt from last month's many snows so I'd have a semi-clean truck to wrench on. Fortunately I got it back in the garage in time, as Sunday night we got a couple of inches of snow after most of the winter snow pack had melted off in preparation for Spring.

Temps are supposed to hit 70 later in the week so I might get a head start on dismantling it.

I'll start my own "builder's blog" once I get going.

Still in stall mode-another winter storm warning going right now, but temps are hitting 70 next week so I might get a chance to begin the tear down.

Hey Bert,
I'll see what I can do-my laptop with my picture software is dying so it's difficult to load up; I need to find a way to power it up one more time just to get all my historical photos off of it-would hate to lose them....

if all else fails, hand it off to some techy kid to pull the hardrive and power it up externally to pull your data off
