welcome to the board. looks like you have a lot of work. the serial number is located on the glove box door and on the front drivers side frame by the bumper (will be hard to see). if a canadian truck should be small tag on firewall passenger side and small tag on headache rack driver side .

Welcome to the site Yoan, the number that you have located on the frame is just a manufacturer stamp. The frame number will be a single straight line 8 digit number, that should be about 5" long and is located about 5" back from the front leaf spring perch on the drivers side frame rail exterior.

Looks like a M-Truck that was left behind when the US Air Force pulled out of France in 1967. Wonder what the manufacturing date is? Check for any data plates on the Right Side, Glove Box Door.

yoann44, On the top of this page, look at the link Production dates, as it will help you identify your trucks build year. As others have mentioned, look for the stamped serial number on you US built truck on the drivers side frame between between the steering box and the front spring perch. It will be 8 digits and likely start with 8xxxxxxx.

I have an friend who runs an auto wrecker out here and in discussion, he mentioned as a young man, he and his father scrapped several thousand US surplus M37s at their yard in the Netherlands during the early '70s. Its possible that your M37 is a survivor of the disposal of M37s in Europe. The Canadian Army ran them for years after the US and they might also show up but can be identified by their different serial number range 9xxxxxxx.

We have some members of this forum over in Europe who may be able to help you with local parts sources there. Hope that some will join in and help you out.

Nice find, You will be father ahead with a better truck, at least when it comes to the body work. Winch and complete bumpers is a bonus, as they can be costly and difficult to find. Is that a fibreglass hardtop sitting in the box? Once you get it cleaned up, post some pictures of the hardtop and under the hood. Are you keeping the other truck for parts? Many of us have at least one available, just in case....
