on many of our west coast trails slow finesse is needed
specially when climbing the V rock on the way to sunrise lake. it is so steep that the carb bogs out and needs 4 or five notches on the hand throttle and lots of clutch work. you dont want to slip a tire and end up in the V with rashed running boards and bent cab mounts or lose a hub.

no fair your running tires made this century thats cheating
now that looks fun are you balanced on the driver side or is that front pass making contact ?
with some revolver shackles I bet both those back tires would be on the ground
with 4.89s and 1.96 to 1 she's a bit fast when it gets technical, clutch gets ridden and some times a helper on the running boards is needed to help steer

I've been in that same predicament in the same ravine on two different wheeling trips. The first time scared the crap out of me, the 2nd time (pictured) I knew when to kit the clutch and brake to teeter on the front right and rear left tires before proceeding on.
Yep, Saganw PS Box, but It's very, very hard on them. I replace the box way too frequently.
Yea the Fuel Injection is a great update over a carburetor for off-road use.
I will be doing a power steering conversion using a Saginaw and tapping it for hydro assist, takes a huge amount of stress off all the steering linkage components and the steering box. Applies the majority of the force to the steering tie rod itself, right where it's needed.

You can a little steering wheel action in this video. Oh also if you watch the Tack (Left Large Gauge) you can see the engine speed, it's a 0 to 6,000 RPM Tack.

stock axles, but big ag tires. the goal is to not change anything that can't be swapped back to 'stock' if ever desired. i'll post pictures when it's done, hopefully by spring time!
