A 318 is plenty of power. The one time I checked mine (39.5" tires and 5.83 gears) I got around 8.5, that's with 3,000 RPM = 60 MPH.

I'm running an NP435, but it and the stock are 1:1 in 4th.

As for dificulty, it depends on if you are buying the conversion kit (http://www.uglytruckling.com) or doing it yourself.

that's brutal mileage  I will stick with my 251 flat head 6 @ 11mpg @ 60mph(14mpg @45mph)with 4.89s and 900r16s

granted I do need a personalized license plate that reads : SLOW2GO

Yes that is bad, but is was back with the Holley Crap Injection. I suspect it will do better now, but I need to fix my broke ARB Locker and find the electrical gremlin that occurs on very hard jars that causes the GM TBI fuel Injection to quit.

I would start by looking at class C motor homes if I was looking for a 318. last fall I picked up a 1994 32ft class A with a injected 454 with only 24,000km for $1

My Donor was a '68 with an NP435, Points and single barrel Cab. I converted it to MoPar Electronic Ignition and TBI Fuel Injection.

All depends on your clutch and transfer case plans. I had to build by own mounts to accommodate the hydraulic clutch.

Will the stock tranny mate to the dodge 318 bellhousing ?

And do I really need a hydraulic clutch ?

Does the radiator retain its stock location ?

Will the stock bellhousing bolt up to a 318 ?
Thanks,TRAVIS
