Welcome aboard, Dick!
Memphis Equipment does repairs, restos, and has a huge parts yard but could be rather expensive, depending on your needs. I've gotten some nice parts from them but several years ago;

Wallace Wade tires in Texas has ND tires, tubes and flaps pretty reasonable, if you wish to check them out;

You might check out the TN MVPA club http://www.tnmvpa.com/ for info on shows and swap meets;

I got my seat canvas from Beechwood Canvas; my cab top came from Adirondack Dodge; tailgate chain covers from Surplus City Jeep parts.

I don't know that the M42 canvas would help you see better-most of us get happy once we have the passenger side rear-view mirror installed (takes a specialized mount, or you can search this forum for the "field mods" on the mirror).

eBay has tons of stuff for M37s-don't just search M37, but "military m37", "Dodge M37", and "Dodge Power Wagon", as a number of sellers list M37 parts under the Power Wagon moniker.

Finally, continue to post your many questions-we've all learned a ton of stuff by utilizing the expertise freely given here on the G741!
Gary

P.S.-I also cut my mechanic's teeth as an MOS 63H at Aberdeen Proving Ground in '76-'77....

Hello Cal & thanks
Luckily I do already have the right side rear view mirror.
I have late "incorrect" plastic tops for cab & bed but the metal clips for over the windows are not in the right place to engage above the windows and it has one hole in it over the passenger's head [currently fixed with duck tape inside & outside. The rear bed cover looks new but has none of the fastening straps [black plastic hooks and poly strapping for tie downs], they are all missing.
The safety strap that goes across the rear bed opening is totally missing also [just the two eye bolts waiting for one to be snapped into them on the side of the rear bow.
Hope to get with Wallace Wade this afternoon and order 5 new 9.00x16's. Have the rims with military chevron 9.00x16LT worn out rubber on them now, made in 1963 (1) and 1969 (4). Actually the '63 made tire is a 9.00x16 NDT tire that is nice looking at a distance but is cracked badly when you see it in person.
Ideally if I could take it to a place that is a known accomplished reputation I'd take it in for an initial "depot level" (?) maintenance go over of all systems and have it checked out for worn and non-functional things and have it made right so to speak so it can be used reliably for until something goes wrong or wears out.
I may contact Memphis to see if they'll do that for me?
Have to make a trip next week so will do these things when I get back home again.
later, thanks again Cal

You might PM m-series rebuild here on the forum-Charles specializes in everything military-related and has a full service shop that could do a top-to-bottom inspection for you. That might be less expensive than Memphis Equipment (although Charles is in NC)....

Hi Gary, can you post me the contact for Charles, phone # or email or web site ? and location address; Depending on where he is in NC it might be closer to me than Memphis...
Update/FYI, I've got 5 new rubber tires coming from Wade's and they are to be installed tomorrow. There is a brakes problem that must be fixed, don't know what the issue is specifically yet but hope that gets taken care of this week or at least identified.
Thanks, Dick

Let me know if you have the rims and I would want them blasted and Painted...Ship via FedEx? Some others I've seen were shipped FedEx.
I dropped my truck off today to have the 18's taken off and a new set of NDT
s mounted on my existing rims if their inspection shows the rims to all be serviceable condition, and some break work done.

I have a M37 or a M37BI? Ser. number is 64956 or is it 26664956? I believe this to be a B1 truck made in 1962. It
does have a spare tire mounted on the drivers door. Have pics if needed. Email me at ibco@comcast .net

THanks RDI
