Marine Corp m37 lifting shackles

Post by Vail Az123 »

I'm trying to find information on a 1965 m37 that is a marine Corp model with the serial number 2668017254 and is located on the right front portion of the frame (normally on the drivers side?). This vehicle has different lifting shackles that I'm not familiar with and looking for any information on these type. They are not the normal marine Corp version that I have seen on other vehicles. They are solid and have no place for the blackout light to be mounted. If anyone has any info how the lights mount, would appreciate it. Thanks for any help that you might be able to give me.

Are those riveted on or bolted on? I have not seen them before, any numbers on them?

First, I think they are mounted upsidedown.

Second, I seem to remember they aren't even Dodge, rather Israeli.

Maybe.
