thanks, it's been one of my summer projects, started working on it about 8 years ago when i was still in highschool. Got the engine pulled out and that's about where it sat for the next 8 years
that's a great photo! i love it.
yeah they are DC3 tires, 17.00-16 Royal Airplane, i've got 2 full sets of them, but only one set is holding air. Really need to do some research and get new inner tubes, and make a set of chains.
today i will test the brakes
*edit*
Well, they make the truck stop, so that's a success. Master cylinder is leaking, but with the amount of pitting and rust that was in it I would have been very surprised if it didn't leak. Time for a new one, eventually.
full brake job

Re: full brake job
Brake fluid will rot that copper line quickly-you should replace it immediately for safety's sake.

Re: full brake job
It's not a safety issue, just a convenience issue. The copper line just acts as a funnel to fill the lower reservoir, if it rots or breaks I'll have a bit of brake fluid to clean up but the brake system won't be compromised by the copper line being gone. I need to replace the master cylinder before I drive it much, it's leaking from the main seal.
