Upper bracket for exhaust tube fording kit M37
Good morning all. Just registered after following for a while. I know the fording kit was reproduced by a board member. I attempted to use an email address in one of the posts for him but it is no longer working. So........ If anyone out there has a bracket they can spare please let me know. I'll monitor the site regularly. Thanks

John doesn't carry the upper bracket. He does have the lower and the intake tube bracket.Talked to a buddy south of here and he has a rusted up pipe with a good bracket along with some other parts I "need". Thanks for having a look at my post and the response,
Tony

Sorry for the misdirection. I thought you were talking about the stowage brackets on the bed of the truck.
I have pictures of the vertical intake tube bracket on the truck if you need it mounted.
Those parts are getting hard to find. Might be worth having your friend try to save the rusted parts, even if it is just for patterns.

Thanks for the response.
Sure, post the pics or email them: tcom2027@gmail.com Thanks.
John has a repro bracket for the intake tube, but....... Since the intake is on my to do list I'd like to see how the tube looks mounted. THe M37 I drove in Nam didn't have functioning fording gear. Bell housing plug, what the hell was that? During the monsoons we waited for an M35 or 54 to come by to tow us through the mud hole if it was really really deep. If not too deep the waterproof ign did its job and we motored through. Doors were tight enough to keep most of the water out of the cab. Water did come in from around the pedals and PTO levers and trans transfer levers. Never felt the need for the fording kit. THe tall pipes would only gotten snagged on the brush we had to drive through. Up north anyway.

Yeah, Nam was quite a senior trip. Was a time was a time.
Got the bracket this weekend along with most of the parts I need to convert mine back to 24 volt, but it's unlikely I'll do it. Will be mounting it this AM.
I have the windshield frame intake bracket on mine. When the time comes I'm going to look for a tube etc. for the intake side but I like the look for now. I want to be able to mount the exhaust tube for parade duty. Don't want to get the local high school cheerleaders all red faced and wobbly by the end of the parade.

Thanks for posting the intake bracket pictures! I assume your setup is Original? As you may have read, I am trying to gather up all the parts of a fording kit for my 51 m37. I bought Outsiders exhaust extension, and a rear stowage bracket from John @ MWM. John does not have anything else left right now.
I did receive a copy of the installation instructions, but it is unclear regarding the front stowage bracket for the exhaust extension.
I still need the intake pipe, & mounting, along with the fording valves for the crankcase vent lines to the carb, if you have any ideas?
Thanks

I need the intake pipe also. I have the bracket on my truck like in the pictures ... but no pipe on it.
Re: Upper bracket for exhaust tube fording kit M37
I'll try to get some pictures for you this weekend. There is too much stuff on that side of the truck for me to get in there and take any pictures right now. I have to move the truck out of the garage this weekend to do some work, so I will take pictures then (if it doesn't rain - the truck doesn't mind the rain but I do).
Remind me on Saturday, in case I forget.
