Re: Dillon, MT meet Labor Day weekend...
Gary;
I will be heading to Dillion, MT. on Thursday via I-15. I am planning to bring the 1953-M on a trailer. I will be staying at the Camp Ground. Derek Gore has told me that he has vendors and traders that have reserved space See you on Friday and hope to see a few others from the Intermountain West.

No thanks, a rodeo and military show on a Labor Day weekend? What were they thinking.

If I remember you are only 159 miles away from Dillion, MT. How about coming down for the day and meet with Gary and myself on Friday. We can them write up a report, meet, talk and think about next year. I understand from reports that a group of up to 10 vehicles will be coming from Billings, MT. and a group from Idaho Fall, ID. will also be coming up. There is also a plan to do a trail ride over to a old mining town and BBQ dinner.

Back from Dillon! Re: Dillon, MT meet Labor Day weekend...
Hi gang,
Got home today, spent part of the day Friday getting to the Dillon meet. Since it was Day One the turnout was rather thin, but true to his word, Don aka M60TC was there with his M37! I recognized the truck before I spotted Don but how can you miss two guys wearing Carter's G741 hats?! Anyway, we got re-acquainted and caught up on some HMV stuff, and I was happy to secure from Don an M37 fan belt as well. One vehicle of particular interest was the GPW style "Tug" 6x6, fully restored and recently featured in the MVPA magazines. Quite a unique vehicle for sure. I also got acquainted with Derek Gore, the event organizer, who has a small military museum on site. We didn't stick around too long since we also booked some time in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Don's neck of the woods. We returned home today, but as a post-script spotted an M37 on a trailer at a gas stop in Idaho Falls-sure enough, again it was Don, headed home from Dillon with his truck in tow. I gave him some privileged information about an old command car in the A.O. that might be of interest, then we parted with me headed south while Don headed east. Sure was nice to see you again, Don-I'll be looking for the parts we discussed when I get to the Camp Delta (Tower Park) event later this month.
I'll get a picture or two out, hopefully tomorrow.

Thanks Bert-I don't know why they get "pixelized" sometimes when I post them.
