Is anyone going to the Tower Park show? I've heard it's very good and am looking forward to it. There is a small chance that the M37 may be going, we'll see.

Hi Andy,
Tower Park is the best show west of the Mississippi, especially the Spring meet! I've attended a dozen Tower Park meets over the years; unfortunately I now live too far away to attend. My M37 would still be toast if not for all the great deals I got there over time like $25 M37 hood, front fender, windshields, paint, radio gear, etc. You won't want to miss it!

Tuko,
Is that M37 time or regular vehicle time? :)

Gary,
I'm looking forward to the show, it will be fun to see some M37's and all of the other goodies there. I'm a bit worried about the parts end of things, kid in a candy store... We've been working pretty hard trying to get the truck on the road to work out any issues. The front axle is done, rear is very close, brakes need a bleed and adjustment, engine relatively sorted, wiring harness 1/2 in, and then there's the thousands of little loose ends to finish off. It is possible to make the show at this point, but I'm not sure it's wise!

ashyers,

Just take your regular car and go to the show. You'll see a lot, probably learn a lot, and the show will still work really well for emptying your wallet even without having the truck there.I am very confident about this.

BTW, pay no attention to what sounds like like you wallet screaming in pain while you're at the show. Just think how happy the truck will be. Remember - you're doing it for "the children".

We may name the truck "The Vacuum" or possibly "Hover".

I guess if worse comes to worse I could take the '73 VW bus, it's has some similarities and it will fit a load of parts, plus there's the piece of plywood I have to pile things on for just such an occasion!

Hopefully some of the students will be able to make it to the show. Many of them don't drive, and the ones that do rarely go out of a 10 mile radius of their homes. Weird, but the norm.

I went to the show a few years back when it was at the Big Bear park. Usually with my Diesel M37, three times towing it with the M54A1 5-ton to haul bigger goodies to sell.

Lots of fun, even with the 900 mile, 16hr drive.

Maybe again someday, it is just the time and schedule.

Just returned from the show. It was pretty amazing! There were a ton of vehicles and we were able to watch a Huey and PBR do some reenactments. I've never been under a Huey when it flares to land, that was quite a trip. There were a ton of older Dodges (WC's?) and Jeep varients, but only 3 M37's that I spotted. All were very nice and one appeared to have been completely redone, every nut and bolt. We did see a Weasel dashing around the campground that looked like a ton of fun. As far as goodies I scored a complete headlamp assembly for $20. I figured if the bulb is good I'm doing OK. Next year we'll have to take the M just to get the #'s up.
