Re: 4 Door Concept
So is it a M-37 with a Command Car body spliced on to it or is it a Command Car with a M-37 front clip?
Re: 4 Door Concept
RMS,
Yeah, exactly like that.
Can any of you guys tell me more about it?

Re: 4 Door Concept
I say shortened m37 chassis, cowl, rear fenders and front clip with a wider tubed wc cc body

Re: 4 Door Concept
Me too.
I've got a couple of extra parts 37's. I'm tempted to do this with one of them.

Re: 4 Door Concept
I get it now.... Still don't like it though. Love the command car and think that if Dodge had designed a "command car for the M37 line a vehicles it would have looked more like 4 door than the wwII body.
M37s are HMMWV in my world!
Re: 4 Door Concept
While I can appreciate the initiative and craftsmanship that went into making these M37 command cars, I think k8icu makes a good point. One of the improvements in the G741 series over the WWII WC 3/4 ton trucks was the addition of doors with glass roll-up windows and weathersealing. I doubt that a command car version on the G741 platform would not have included these changes, too.k8icu wrote:I get it now.... Still don't like it though. Re: 4 Door Concept
While I like the WWII command cars, my preference would be to land the XM711 wrecker-hard to find, in any condition.
