I recently had a leak in my gas tank. After no success soldering it, I had a radiator shop fix it for $60. Another $100 for the components to epoxy coat the inside. I can't remember how much the epoxy primer and correct color paint cost, but it was under $100. Maybe $250 out of pocket total. A new S10 tank is about $80 if you want to go that route. I'd buy a complete junker truck for $1500 before I spent that kind of money on one component

Hmmmm maybe I should put my take out tank up on fleapay. You know the one with the 2 inches of mud and dried fuel in the tank.... I'd be happy with half what that guy got....

Most likely the seller (or one of his buddies) won his own auction. In about two weeks you'll see that gas tank for bid again with some sob story about deadbeat bidders . . . . .

I don' know...........looking at the bidders it looks more like two guys got into a bidding war for that tank. I guess when you want something bad enough...........
