Oil Pan Drain Plug Gasket?

Post by knattrass »

We pulled the side plates off, removed the felpro rubber gaskets, added RTV, reinstalled - no more oil leak. We retorqued the oil pan to fix a small drip at the front. The oil pan drain plug had some hand cut trying to be an o-ring gasket cut out of gasket material. Doesn't look right, but we didn't find a ring in the felpro kit.

Charles - thanks for the NAPA number on the oil filter hose (x2), the new ones bolted right up, same length, no leaks. They were almost $17 each, but it follows the continued money flow....M37 = Money...

Oil Drain Gasket

I am using a 7/8th inch copper gasket...Suppose nylon would work also. My auto parts store has both copper and nylon (plastic) No leaks after several years.
