I have a question, the covers for the PASGT helmets, do the origonal ones sit on the rim of the helmet or tuck in a bit?
I bought a cheapie chinese cover to make the helmet a little more presentable and less conspicuous for public events, it fits but the elastic does not tuck in, it wraps over the rim but not to the inside and then stops and has a few anchor elastics from then on in so it does fit but barely, I have no desire to glue it in place so any suggestions? Has anyone got a pic of a real cover fitted?
Thanks
MM

Re: PASGT Question...
Tony, I realized my email didn't cover it. Now that I'm at my desk I can do somewhat better.

Re: PASGT Question...
Thanks Bob, Mine dosen't look anything like that in the anchoring, just an elastic band that does not wrap into the thshell, more just sits on the lip, I think it might be for the abs plastic look a likes that are thinner in the shell, I might have to check e-bay for an OD "real" cover, saying that, I might just mod what I have got as it looks quite good, I'll post a pic if I get time today. Interesting that the cat's eyes band has the reflectors at the back, I guess when youre camofalged it'd be nice not to have someone mow you down from behind because they could not see you

Re: PASGT Question...
The band with a pair of reflective "cat eyes" on the back is intended to prevent friendly fire incidents.
