Awesome!! I woud love to see on in person. or build one! I bet the parts could be scrounged up. I have seen the 8x8 parts for sale a few times. we ahve to be able to find who has one of the T53s somehow.......

That sure is one UGLY looking truck....not that the M37 is by any means "pretty". But I really like the external brakes and the air horn on the drivers side cowl!!

so lets see if i got this right :arrow: the t53 had 20inch wheels independent torsion bar suspension with something like this

Air cooling??? Really? You mean like a VW Bug? I can see why the Army went with tried and true. :mrgreen:

apparently it was listed for sale by David W Uhrig in an issue of supply line magazine back in the late 90s.

where is it now?

Hello Gang,
I just joined the G741 today and saw the thread on the T53.
I am the current owner of T53 Serial #1 which is located in Ohio.
The truck is completely dissembled with a rolling chassis. It is complete
with all of its original parts including continental engine and GM Torque matic Transmission.
I will try and post a few photos soon.

AO-402 had 4.625" bore and 4" stroke.
