Seeking vintage photos

Post by DDoyle »

Greetings all,
I am seeking some help with a new project. As some of you may know, I write books about military vehicles. For my current book project, I am seeking high-resolution scans of vintage photos (and related documents) relating to a couple of scarce G-741 variants. Specifically, the XM711 wrecker, XM708 and XM708E1 dump trucks.

For this project, I can't use photos of restored vehicles, rather, I need photos of the vehicles in the field (Vietnam or stateside) or at the factory. Documents related to these would be welcomed as well.

I'm not looking for a free ride on these things - compensation can be negotiated for the use of needed materials.

If you can help - or can point me to someone who can help, please drop me an email at ddoyle9570@aol.com.

Any and all help appreciated.

Best wishes,
David Doyle

I have re sent the xm708 in country picture that was sent to me from a member here.. This is an xm708 not an xm708e1 I have never seen an E1 which was made by the Hardeman company my body is made by Garwood. Every single truck I have had the pleasure to see has the Garwood body on it..
