Dodge m37 Distributer
Hi, I recently purchased a NOS distributer for the M37 but good old ups managed to bend the shaft and destroy the threaded connector where the ignition wire attach's, has anybody got the bottom half of a distributer or just the threaded bit they want to sell and would post to the United kingdom, ideally I want a new shaft as well but I can buy them of the internet. If you have the threaded connector please get in touch if you have both please also get in touch.
Thanks Simon

Hi Simon,
First link is for an NOS housing..........I think the price is pretty good. Other links are for the connector, if that's the one you're talking about.

You can get the threaded connector, which I assume is the radio suppressor, at most of the dealers if you don't want to deal with ebay
Re: Dodge m37 Distributer

Re: Dodge m37 Distributer
Was wondering did you make right with the person who sold you the distributor ?
Re: Dodge m37 Distributer
Part was USPS to Kentucky then reposted via UPS to UK .. claim was made through paypal because seller was on vacation now seller Is out the sale price because paypal refunded total as they usually do. How fair is that ? I have known the seller quite a long time and he is a very long standing respected man in the MV community and does not screw with anybody. I hope the buyer has the courtesy of paying the supplier as this is a loss for him and as of right now a FREE purchase to somebody else that is not right.. This part was sold to somebody here in the states and reposted to the UK unknowingly to seller yet seller foots the bill ??
Re: Dodge m37 Distributer
To put the record straight, I e-mailed the seller straight away asking him what we could do about the damage I waited a over a week in case he was away, when he did not reply after the week I opened a case against him for a partial refund based on how much it was going to cost me to replace the damaged parts. The good`s were not packed very well they could move a round in the box with no protection on the shaft or the electrical connector. I had to order the bits from 3 different people and have paid for the parts plus 3 lots of shipping, I will also have to pay 3 lots of import duty and also 3 lots of paperwork charges as they charge an admin fee for each separate package over here.I also have not had one penny/cent back from pay pal yet as we are still in discussions. So at the moment I have an unusable distributer and have paid for that and also paid for all the replacement parts and will shortly have to pay all the import and admin charges. All I wanted was a fair out come for both of us .

Re: Dodge m37 Distributer
Hi, to clear up any confusion on some of the above comments I have done some checking and the seller has signed up to a scheme with e-bay that he will post world wide. How it works is that e-bay and there shipping partner do all the paperwork and shipping to deliver items world wide and all the seller has to do is post to the shipping agent in the states.
This has advantages for the seller as they get a larger market for there items and don`t have to do any paperwork or work out costs for posting abroad. All the sellers items on e-bay at the minute are in this scheme so when I was looking on e-bay uk his and other people`s items popped up. In this case there was only 1 other bidder on the item and if it had gone smoothly he would of made a lot more money than if I had not bid.

Re: Dodge m37 Distributer
I have had nothing but trouble with the Ebay Global Shipping Program since it started. Crazy fees for the buyer, they seem to repack stuff as they see fit... They automatically sign you up for it when you list stuff too.

Re: Dodge m37 Distributer
So lets get this straight. seller ships to the states and then ebays shipper repackages the item and the item gets wrecked but seller is responsible for somebody elses handling ? Sounds like the us government at work personally...
Re: Dodge m37 Distributer
If you sell on Ebay, I suggest turning off the GSP option, there is a button in there to do so, but they don't make it obvious.
I had two things sell before I knew what was happening, both have been nightmares.
